Inspired by the success of previous Campaign weekends at both Stafford Games and Entoyment Wargaming and Hobby Store over the last two years, in association with Entoyment we have decided to run an Overlord campaign weekend at the Battlegroup South Wargames show at the Bovington Tank Museum 2nd/3rd July.
This is not a Tournament for those seeking individual glory, but will instead be fought between a German "team" and an Allied "team" of players, with individual results contributing to the overall success or failure of your "team."
We have space for 18 players and each player will play three games over the course of the weekend, (2 on Saturday, 1 on Sunday).
Warwick, Will and Piers will all be playing in the tournament so see whether you can beat the Battlegroup boys!
Each player will need:
A 400pt Battlegroup for their chosen side, picked from following army lists in the Battlegroup Overlord book:
1. British 6th Airborne Division Battlegroup
2. American Airborne Division Battlegroup
3. German Panzer Ersatz Battlegroup
4. British Armoured Division Battlegroup
5. British Infantry Division Battlegroup
6. American Armoured Division Battlegroup
7. American Infantry Division Battlegroup
8. German Panzer Division Battlegroup
9. German Fallschirmjager Battlegroup
10. German Infantry Division Battlegroup
All games are squad – sized, so your Battlegroup must contain a minimum of one squad of infantry and a maximum of one platoon of infantry, as well as no more than two restricted units. All normal army list restrictions apply.
You may bring separate lists for the Attack/Defence and Meeting Engagement scenarios if so desired.
Your Battlegroup must contain the correct 20mm painted miniatures for the units chosen, (including any Aircraft and Defences that you wish to use). No proxy models should be used.
