With the recent posts about Alpha Strike, and my wanting to try out BattleForce…where can I get bunches of really cheap mechs? They don't have to be pretty, just identifiable.

I've got the Risk 2210 game, with 3 different sized mechs.

I've seen these mechs from Nexus for $10 USD a box on ebay.

Unless you need them to be metal, I recommend the Battletech starter set. $50 USD, comes with tons of Battletech stuff (classic), and 26 very nice plastic mechs. I haven't seen mechs for less than $2 USD each anywhere else.

Make sure to get the one with the "Atlas" on the front though, not the Warhammer mech – the latter is a poor early printing and there are still some floating around.

The EM4 Miniatures mechs are pretty nice for the price. I made a 6mm walker force of 30 of them for around $30. USD

Ditto on the plastic Clix versions. If you must have Mechs, that's the way to go.

GZG's 6mm Dirtside range has some walkers, GB£3 for 6, that go well with the Risk mechs. There are also some nice mechs in Germy's 2mm range.

Onslaught's Technocracy rigs look nice, but I've not got any (yet).

I've found here in the US they have 6inch tall fighting robots for $1 USD in the dollar stores. They can be bought on the web but only in groups of 24. They don't look great but I bought about 20 of them just in case.
