As one is not supplied and some of the rules such as all the uses of command cards are spread all over the place I drew up a 4 page sheet for myself and friends. I can supply the microsoft publisher original file if anyone wants to amend. All suggestions for improvement would be appreciated It is customised for French Indian Wars so some weapons etc are not included. PDF link |

Handy! I'm hoping to base up some 15mm 1812 French and Russians to give these rules a try, or, maybe I'll base up some of the 28mm AWI stuff that I'm doing, or, maybe I'll just buy some new figures and start from scratch. Decisions, decisions! |

Very nice. I am planning to use these for FIW as well. |

Nice. I think the last two, pages are the most useful. You might want to add the force morale charts and leader wounds as well as they come up all the time. |

Leader wounds are on the bottom of the 3rd page. Good idea about the force morale Version 2 attached here PDF link |

It's a good set of rules MAtt, main thing for newbs is trying to remember all the things you can do with command cards. Hence the 1st page of my QRS |

Hi CptKremmen, Looks like a great tool. I'd suggest removing the orange outline on your categories though as I think they detract from the readability of the doc. Just the white letters on blue should do it. Can I grab a copy of the .docx as per your offer in the OP? |

Publisher version link PDF version PDF link I am hoping to make some more changes tomorrow as a result of yesterdays game. |

I was just looking for a QRS for SP2 Capt K. I only read through SP1 once when it first came out and although I believe the authors don't think SP2 requires a QRS this old brain can use all the help it can get. I do believe your QRS will remove about 2 points of shock from me during our initial few games. Thanks much! |

I looked at the playsheet at the 2fl website. Its hard to believe that something that happens all the time, firing, is not on the sheet. Things that happen rarely are all that are on there. Kind of backwards of what is needed. Also, the unit roster would be much better if it were either a fillable pdf or a word document. Having to hand copy in the data in a computer world is just silly. |
Dexter Ward | 09 Jun 2016 2:02 a.m. PST |
If you read the decsription of the playsheet, you'll see he's only put the stuff which is hard to remember on there. The stuff which you can remember after a couple of games isn't on; but there are more complete playsheets if you want that stuff. |

I think my unofficial sheet and Richards official one are quite complimentary I have aimed mine deliberately at NEW players for their 1st 2-3 games Richard has aimed his at experienced players. I am going to do a couple of variations of mine, the current one is for FIW i am going to do one for Napoleonics as that is the next armies we are doing. It woudl be easy to take the publisher file and tweak for say ACW if anyone wanted to bother. Andy |

The point of firing is that it's so simple you don't need it on the QRS. The stuff on the official one is stuff that happens regularly but you can't possibly memorise. If you want a first timers playsheet then Andy's one is superb, but after a couple of games you won't need that degree of detail, so then use Richard's one. |

Have you guys enjoyed these rules? I trashed the first edition for lack of a QRC (silly that there was not a good official one), and got the second edition at Fall In figuring there must be a QRC for the second edition…silly me. Am now wondering how you all like the new edition, is it better and lots of fun? Any alternate rule sets that actually have a good official QRC? |
Dexter Ward | 07 Nov 2016 3:17 a.m. PST |
There *is* an official QRC for SP2, but it concentrates on stuff for experienced players; the bit you don't remember. There are several more comprehensive QRCs online |
