Alright so with the move and all, a lot of stuff will need to be rebuilt but that'll help make it a lot more focused.

The kid wants to do ww2 first (and then basically every war in human existence, at least until he gets old enough to discover girls) and decided on russians and british.

So the first step to the new armies was three bags of Command Decision infantry (German, Soviet, British) bought at the convention.

Going to base them up 3 to a stand, so they can double for most everything (Fivecore Company command, Crossfire, Rapid Fire (yes I know, you're supposed to use single figures there but it looks naff) and if we want to dabble in Spearhead or Command Decision, those will be fine too).

Step 2 will be re-acquiring all the support weapons and whatnot.

Armoured forces right now consists of a Panzer 2 and a Panzer 4 with no gun, plus some German armoured car I can't recognise.

I'll keep everyone posted as we get things back in swing and get some games in. I may even break my old cardinal rule and take some photos.

(and if you have 15mm ww2 stuff you're looking to get rid of for cheap to go to a good gaming table, feel free to hit me up, I've gotten a few people offering some bits)

Dunno about vapid fire, like mate. But.
Welcome aboard.
Ww2 was my first love and my main gaming genre.

Try Battlefront WW2 it's 15mm and its two figures per stand three of those make a platoon and three of those make a company and three figures to stand is command.

Rapid Fire mostly went on the list as its easy enough for the kiddo to learn.

Appreciate the suggestion for Battlefront. Alwys been on the list of stuff to try and hunt down.

edit: I should clarify, I'm a long time WW2 gamer, but after moving I get to basically redo my collection and the kid is old enough to have an interest now.

Same thing for the Little Prince – when he got interested in WWII I went for Rapid Fire

Just finished his second Canadian infantry battalion – I need to get the two German battalions done – right now my armour consists of six Bren gun carriers for the infantry, two StuG IIIs and a solitary Sherman

I enjoy Rapid Fire, easy to teach and enjoyable to boot
