Bonjour Chaps,

Inspired by the "Spanish Cavalry of the early Peninsular War" thread I wondered what were the best sources for figures for these?

I'm aware and have some of the Front Rank and Elite chaps but wondered what other choices might be available?

Cheers,

Paul

Connoisseur Miniatures (from Bicorne UK) have Spanish Heavy cavalry. Not sure what the Lancer looks like – someone else may be able to help but I suspect it is a guerrilla lancer.

I have used Prussian Hussars in mirliton caps as my Spanish Hussars (Elite Miniatures) because that is what I could get hold of easily and relatively cheaply from Australia.

Eagle Miniatures have early cavalry as well – Spanish Hussars.

Hi, Eagle Figures produce Hussars in Shako and Mirliton as well as La Mancha lancers. See the link below.
I intend to release Dragoons and Guerrilla cavalry later this year.

Old Glory promised them,as well as Portuguese, when they brought out their huge Napoleonics line years ago.
I wouldn't hold my breath,at this point.

Not even any sign of them for Blue Moon 18s,for that matter.

We have a growing 28mm Spanish Napoleonic range:

You have a lot more than that to attract us over here, but if only your full range was imported into UK/Europe.

Don't get me started on trying to import anything from without the EU and the bureaucracy involved. If it was just a matter of paying the tax, fine…but that would be too simple………

Your range looks superb, but difficult to access from here

FYI- Connoisseur Spanish lancers are in a regulation type uniform with a shako. I have mixed the Spanish from Front Rank, Elite and Connoisseur in my Spanish army and they look fine.
