Started to look at Team Yankee but I don't know if I want to commit to buying 15mm stuff. All my terrain is for 28mm. (First World problems). Anyway, who has the best 28mm ultra modern miniatures and more important, what is the best rule set for a TY scenario in the 21st Century? Aka a showdown in the Baltics.

Thanks for the recommendation

Empress do wonderful modern Australians and Chinese. Sabres Squadron rules would be worth a look.

Howdy,

I think it depends on the type of battle (scale) you want to fight.

Do you want to fight a battle, or a skirmish?

Ponder on,

Skirmish. 28mm. One figure equals one figure.

No End in Sight is about to get some updates, but you can grab it now before the price goes up a little.

It covers up to about platoon level.
I've run games ranging from 2 fireteams to a full mechanized platoon on each side and not run into significant issues.
It stands apart a bit in that it's fairly "gritty": Squads get worn out, troopers pinned down and you have to contend with wounded men.

Extensively campaign rules included of course, including peace keeping, domino effect and a rather fatalistic ww3 campaign.

Thanks. I'll check it out.
