The unicast is a new method of manufacturing miniatures that reduces costs and time. If I understand correctly, it is a mixture of plastic and resin. Prodos uses it succesfully seeing the results.

There's a review of the material up on Jake Thornton's blog. Seems pretty impressive, and apparently with a much smaller start-up cost than plastic of PVC. Here's the blog post with the review: link
