… Of U.S. Coalition Special Forces In Syria (Video)

"In a recent broadcast by a channel called France 24, French reporters in Syria unexpectedly came across a coalition special operations unit, coordinating air strikes and working with Kurdish YPG units in the fight against Daesh in Shaddadi (northern Syria). Somewhat untypical of these types of units in going this long without realizing that a video crew was at work directly behind them. But we saw this in the early parts of the invasion of Afghanistan with a film crew capturing SAS operators in a firefight.

Man, OPSEC sure sucks, if that is true.

What do they teach in military school now?

Never mind, it's a rhetorical question, and I already know about all the PC stuff…….

The French make some great documentary's whether its from Mali or elsewhere in the Mideast. But it is not like its a full news crew following the Kurds around. It is maybe one or two people, dressed like everyone else carrying a small camera. It is a very common sight now days. The guys were busy doing their job and if they did notice the camera, they probably figured he was filming stuff for the Kurds. Its not like people don't know that those soldiers are there.

Well, there WAS a bulldozer operating right behind them, and the French rolled-up with the Kurds who were present to provide area security. I think the SpecOps guys trusted the Kurds for safety to flanks & rear.

But that is a case of tunnel vision. Everybody gets it when they are focused on something during a life critical event.
