Tango01 Nice find but, very interesting where it said…'Portuguese and Spanish muleteers 26 months in arrears' And here's me thinking that the goody, goody allies paid for everything up front? Just as well the French lost, eh, or they'd never get paid? LOL |

Cronin and Summerfield's new book on the Spanish Cavalry points out the problems the Spanish had in getting good cavalry horses because of the policy in the 18thC of encouraging the breeding of mules. |
