Which defunct fantasy game would you like to see make a comeback via a Kickstarter? |

Battle Masters – the ultimate kid gateway game. My girls loved crawling around on the mat, moving the cavalry around, and screaming in delight when the cannon got to fire. No gamer should be deprived of seeing his/her kids play Battle Masters. This game deserves to be re-issued. |

Warhammer Quest. I've never backed a Kickstarter, but I would back that. After that, Man o' War. I will echo that BattleMasters is a fantastic game to play with kids. But I already own it, so neener-neener! |

Battlemasters gets my vote too. It is like the Gateway Game. |

Does the old Gygax and Perrin Chainmail rules count? Or is it still in botique production somewhere? |
boy wundyr x | 28 Apr 2016 2:49 p.m. PST |
Chainmail was available from Wargame Vault or RPGNow at one point – I got a copy that way, but it doesn't look like it's there now. |

Warhammer Quest. Thats one GW game I miss not picking up when it was readily available |
DisasterWargamer | 28 Apr 2016 3:34 p.m. PST |
A second on the Fantasy Trip – Melee and Wizard – Though Dark City Games continues to produce some programmed adventures – it would be nice to see the whole thing bundled and done up with high quality minis, maps etc Chainmail as well |

While I second the notion, The Fantasy Trip's kinda been resurrected by Dark City Games… Regards, Scott Chisholm |

Second Chronopia. But not with the same guys that do WZ Resurrection. I hate those sculpts. The announced, but never produced "epic scale" Chronopia would be awesome. I played many a game of Dark Tower with my two cousins. It was one of my favorite Christmas presents. It quit working eventually, but in the mid-90's I scored a sealed one in a used book store for twenty bucks. As far as I'm concerned, I'll probably never top that find. Battlemasters WAS a great gateway game- as well as providing a ton of plastic minis for Warhammer! Our penny-conscious Empire player had the cannon and ogre on the field every game. |

And Man-O-War, with better sculpts, and with more customizable ships. And Bretonians get carracks, dammit! |

I will echo that BattleMasters is a fantastic game to play with kids. But I already own it. I picked up three copies back in 1994. A local Toy store was selling them for $9.99 USD each. I jump on that in a hurry. Sold the Chaos Warrior and Chaos Thugs for more than what I paid for the games and sold other parts of it was well. Kept the Empire, Orks & Goblins brought bases and I had the core for two Warhammer Armies. |

Oh and I picked up another set several years ago. Needed more troops so that my units could get bigger. |

FGU – Citadel. I loved that game, woud be great to see a reboot which kept faith with the original but maybe packaged up some miniatures and scenery with it. And something to help keep track of damage inflicted to characters & monsters. I know the PDF is still available |

FGU-Archworld White Bear Red Moon-Runequest boardgame War of Wizards-TSR Chainmail/Tractics or Panzerfausts and Trolls. SPI Dragonquest. Spelljammer done like StarFleet battles. Fantasy Trip/Ringworld-the Quest to find the Base of the Arch. Supplements alone you'd make millions.:) High Crusade(Ares mag) |
jpattern2 | 28 Apr 2016 6:22 p.m. PST |
Excellent suggestions above. FGU's Citadel was my first fantasy miniatures game, followed by The Fantasy Trip – Melee and Wizard. I still play all of those several times a year. And a resurrected Man O' War with cleaned-up rules would suck all the money out of my wallet. |

Oh – how could I forget – The Green Planet trilogy : Warriors of the Green Planet, War of the Sky Galleons, and Mind War. As a boxed set with updated maps and counters. And after that all the F&F Games Lord of the Rings game s- Battle of Helms Deep, Siege of Minas Tirith, Battle of the Slag Hills. They were great games. |
20thmaine | 29 Apr 2016 5:28 a.m. PST |
I would buy virtually all the games listed – even the ones I already have. |

Fantasy Trip (morphed into overly complex GURPS – original much better). Fantasy Warriors (still available online I think but an update would be nice) Battle masters (used mats for Blue Max). TomT |

Spelljammer done like StarFleet battles. The second I laid eyes on SJ, I wanted there to be minis! Wow, lots of love for Chronopia (especially the epic version, which I didn't think too many were aware of)- somebody sake note. Battle masters (used mats for Blue Max). About once a year, I look at my still-packed mat, and think, what would I do with this? |

Wow, lots of love for Chronopia (especially the epic version, which I didn't think too many were aware of)- somebody sake note. Part of the reason for C:E is that the rules are available online (although poorly scanned with one page corrupted) link and that there were a couple of magazine articles on it. The only downside is that there isn't a Stygian list, even though they were mentioned in the in-depth article in New Chronicles #3. |
Weasel | 29 Apr 2016 9:05 a.m. PST |
Chronopia would be a nice one. That was one of the few big-name fantasy games that really appealed to me. |
PhilBenz | 29 Apr 2016 11:08 a.m. PST |
White Bear, Red Moon… oooh! I've got a copy, though I'm not 100% certain that all the counters are still present. Also the second installment, Plains of Prax, and homebuilt rules to combine them in one monster game. Sadly, AFAIK, the third installment never sax the light of day. |
IronMike | 29 Apr 2016 11:36 a.m. PST |
Hmmm, tough choice! My top three would be: 1. Dwarf Wars (if ever a set of fantasy rules pleaded for a second edition, DW is it!) 2. A pumped up, minis-based version of Demonlord (love that 1980s sword & sorcery vibe!) 3. Battle Masters (especially if you're doing it with Kickstarter: Offer additional races as stretch goals!) |

I'd like to see 2nd Ed. BattleSystem (blue, perfect-bound, book; 2nd Ed. AD&D mass battles game) given another go. It's a great fantasy rules set for mass battles based on D&D. It never got the support it should have. It could be a great gateway game to get RPG'ers into miniatures gaming. Cheers! |

TFT for me. It will never happen so I enjoy Heroes and Other Worlds in its stead. GWAR by Demonblade would be great to resurrect. |
