If you are like me and want t0 play other periods but are totally done with painting miniatures, a BIG shout out for the new product from Helion & Company – 1642 – 1651 Civil War from Peter Dennis. This is an excellently produced product with soldiers, cannons, houses scenary. For 1150 odd new pennies a bargain. Looking forward to his other product for War of the Roses & 1066 |

Seconded! I picked up copies for my workers when I was Salute and forgot to get a copy for myself. It is a gorgeous book. Nic EUREKA MINIATURES |

Got my copy this morning, very impressed. Looking forward to the next two. Arthritis in my hand is making painting difficult so after the small pile of lead is done so is me and painting. |

Wonderful book and the rules look, upon reading – I admit that I have yet to actually play them, really excellent and almost worth the Amazon price on their own. But I love that as well as the soldiers you get gabions, buildings, trees, hedges, walls and even bridges ! |

A great concept – if only this had been available when I used to stage an ECW wargame as part of the history lessons! I could have run off whole armies on the school copier. I had to use top-down troop counters from the historical warmaster yahoo group. They were easier to prepare, but far less impressive on the tabletop. |
