Sarissa offers a first deal around its wild west railway range in 28 mm. This first offer also includes rails.

I have most of Sarissa's WWII rolling stock and they are great. I enjoyed building the different rolling stock and the tracks. I would say the tracks fit perfectly with "O" gauge cork roadbed. This will be a great addition to table-top gaming.

Actually none of the cars bears the slightest resemblance to US car construction in that period. The engine could pass but the cars are very European. Nit pick over.

Any references to substantiate what you are saying about not being US as opposed to European? Just wondering how they are different.

Most notable differences b/w these and north american design are
1. "buffers" (those bumper posts) at the ends of the cars are european
2. the upturned hook is a european design for joining one car to the next with a short chain, whereas north american design was a link and pin arrangement famous for removing brakemen's fingers. The "knuckle" or Janney coupler was phased into use during the last decade of the 19th century, and injuries fell 90%.
3. the roofs of north american rolling stock tended to be angular, whereas european roofs tended to be rounded, like in these models

hope this helps
