Ah yes. Thanks for posting. Stirred many of my own memories. For me it all started with the 1/72 Airfix Foreign Legion. My cousin gardening in the back yard recently unearthed a figure we lost over 50 years ago. Still had tiny remnants of red and blue paint.

This was rather neat from Airfix as well : link

Yup. My start was on my bedroom floor with Airfix Napoleonic. Still have loads of them, converted etc. Plus the Lay Haye Sainte farm….all painted up, on a base with trees, the gardens etc. Also have the Robin Hood/Sheriff sets. My FFL are still around defending Zinderneuf!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my god. Never saw that Airfix Railway set. You couldn't buy that in Germany.
BBBBBBBBBBBBuuuuuuuuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.
Where can I get it?

It was only available for a couple of years – I won a copy in a competition ! I'm not sure where it is now…or what happened to it. :-(

I guess Ebay is your "friend" here : although if this is any guide to the likely price, maybe not a really good friend ! auction

Your miniature Airfix cowboys look great, KoppiBlloger. I haven't painted very many Wild West Figures, but I have enjoyed painting a handful of 25mm cowboys, etc.,

Was the Airfix wagon train mentioned? Revell made a nice set of cowboys, too. Bob

Most of my miniatures are 28mm Westerns. I was a Marx kid in the 60s and 70s. These were my two wild west sets. Fond memories. The Airfix sets look awesome!
