So when do we get the Maus from WG in plastic? I'm loving the look of this tank, but do Russians really need MORE epic armour to beat on us poor German players lol |

Give me a Centurion any day. |

I second Gennorm. The IS-3 IIRC was designed as a breakthrough tank to take on strong fortifications for the faster T-34's to exploit. The 122mm is an excellent gun – when it gets to fire. The two piece ammo means reload time of 25-35 seconds. Not exactly the best ROF in a tank-tank engagement. They performed poorly in the Arab-Israeli Wars while the Israeli upgraded Centurion (which was a contemporary of the IS-3) was king of the Sinai and Golan Heights. The IS-3 was a dinosaur when it came out because all warfare changed after May 1945. The Centenarian was the new wave of modern MBT's that were relevant decades after the IS-3 was cancelled by the Soviets. No doubt about it, the IS-3 is a cool bad ass tank. But a maneuverable tank can move about 150-200 meters between this monster getting shots off. He needs flanking security for sure. Sooner or later a shot will hit a weak spot, flanks or jam the turret. The desert was the last place it should have been fighting. Enjoy: YouTube link I haven't had time to verify the facts of the video. Most powerful tank in the world? I say it's Soviet propaganda to get you buy more models. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. And the West surprised the Russians with the Atomic Bomb which made tanks irrelevant. |

Not used in combat in WW2 //except maybe a few dozens for a few days in Manchuria, in Aug. 1945//? Why would WG waste the resin??? Oh! Wait!!!! "Konflict '47!" |

And the West surprised the Russians with the Atomic Bomb which made tanks irrelevant. Yeah, that's why nobody uses tanks anymore … oh, wait… |
