Our group plays Shako 2 on a regular basis and includes Chris Leach, co-author of the rules. These are great videos and thanks for doing them!!! Sorry to correct you, however: Video 3, has Prussian guns firing canister with bounce through. There is no bounce through for canister as you said in video 4. Bounce through is for ball only. Also in video 4 there is a skirmisher partially blocking the canister target which, if the spread of canister is blocked would give the firing artillery a -1. The spread being the width of the artillery base. If the canister has a clear path to any part of the target without being blocked there is no -1. Video 9, if the firing Landwehr roll a 6, get a hit and stagger the cavalry still go in resulting in a melee. However the grenadiers are fighting at a -2 because of the hit and stagger. Video 12, there is no failed volley against charging cavalry, only infantry. You have a great looking game. We use nicely colored markers with national flags on one side to mark staggers and numbers 1 to 4 on the other for kills. If you would like to have these, send me an e-mail and I can send you a PDF file to print them. We stick cardboard in the middle and glue them together. Staggers one side kills on the other. t j m 1815 at outlook. com Cheers, Thomas |

Hi wrgmr Re vid 3 Yes I noted my trying to use Bounce Through with Cannister ! forgot to add note when uploading. Re vid 4 and the Skirmishers its hard to see due to the angle but they were not in the Cannister Pattern (I should have shown that in vid). However am I correct that cannister does not have to target centre of target ? Re Vid 9 did not realise the Cav would still contact I thought they went back 1/4 inch if Staggered by firing ? Re vid 12 did not realise that either Would love the pdf if you can send it to sgt.steiner @ btinternet.com I would appreciate Cheers |

Sgt S. Love your handle. One of my all time favourite movies. Yes canister can target the front of as many units as possible within the flank lines of the canister zone. Thus if there are two units that have a gap btween them be the pattern width covers even a portion of the units they get hit. If there is a third unit behind directly in the gap and within canister range it can also be hit. One die roll for all units being targeted. A 6 gives two kills. Closest target gets the kill. If any portion of the target is obscured by skirmishers, meaning the canister pattern passes through any portion of the skirmishers obscuring the target, it is a -1. Cavalry always go in no matter if they are staggered. They just take whatever minus's they have in the melee. Late 1813 and 1814 Prussian Landwehr and reserve troops we will rate as 4 for firing and melee but only take 3 kills. This is to represent the hard campaigning they have done. What country's do you need for markers? We have French, Prussian, British, Russian and Spanish. Cheers, Thomas |
