Hey, I don't own any Mantic Games Dwarf miniatures, but I'm considering buying some. My question is how to they compare size/bulk vs the Plastic GW LOTR Human ranges, not the Middle Earth Rangers, I know they're large, but what about Gondor Warriors, Galadrihm Elves, Rohan Warriors..etc.? Also, I may as well throw non-humans in there as well, Orcs and Uruk-Hai? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Brian |

Mantic's dwarves are chunky and a slight bit taller than GW'S stuff. Do a Google search, there are several comparison shot out there. They probably won't look to good mixed in with the LotR stuff. |

Right…I've seen some comparison shots, but not necessarily with GW LOTR figures and specifically the other ranges besides the dwarf range. I think I know the answer, just wanted some more opinions on the matter. I can't get past a dwarf unit that is gigantic when compared to an Uruk-hai unit or elves..etc…if that makes sense. I'd love to get the Mantic Dwarf set, but I don't think I'd be happy with the size since it doesn't match the majority of my collection which is from the GW LOTR range. Oh well… Thanks for the reply! GW LOTR range was designed to be smaller than their WFB range. Reason is simple; individuals could not use their current figures and would have to buy the new LOTR figures. I do own quite a few Mantic Dwarves and they look far better than what GW is putting out. But I would think that they would be a tad large for compared to LOTR range. |

Thanks! I kinda thought such was the case. I do like the Mantic Dwarf range, but I already have quite a bit of LOTR stuff, so I need a little more compatibility….if I were starting from scratch, I would hands down go with Mantic! Thanks, Brian |
