Nice but too much bad press associated with Spectre.

Yes. I've run across a number of stories of poor/ignored communication, partial orders, KS issues… Too many to ignore, too similar, too familiar for me to trust them with my $$$. Perhaps if TheWarstore picked them up, or a reputable eBay seller.

Two kickstarters that have a lot of negative comments associated with them. You only have to look!

I've had no bad experiences. They have been very responsive anytime I have requested a status update on an order or had a question. I will not hesitate to order from them for a third time.

I did check out the site. Many of the sets are listed 'Out of Stock'. Not sure how that helps sales, but hey…

Based on the traffic on the facebook I'm pretty sure they go through certain ranges pretty quickly. Their MENA rebels, insurgents, and deniable ops guys practically fly off the shelf when they get a restock in, which they just had about a week or two ago. I agree that being out of stock does not exactly help sales, but I think that it is more due to popular minis that are very versatile. A lot of their minis are very generic, which allows gamers to use them for many things. I plan on using their deniable ops guys and some of the MENA and insurgents as western insurgents as well as their stated purpose.

I feel that the stock issue may almost be a matter of greater success than they were prepared for as customers on the facebook are constantly bombarding them with questions about the new ranges and existing ranges. I think they are tapping a underdeveloped market with superb figures, which is providing them with an embarrassment of rich to some degree. Their vehicles are superb as well. I've never seen such clean casting on resin minis.

I've asked a couple of questions via e-mail, none were answered, can't be bothered to deal with them now.

They sell figures on Facebook that kickstarter pledges still haven't got in 18 months. I have 2 very good friends and 1 passing acquaintance still waiting for figures. I'm glad I didn't go in on it too! Very glad!

Sad… because the figures looks good…

If what Cyrus the Great says is accurate, that's superbly unprofessional. Nope – no $$$ from me.

Those are you opinions based on your experiences and those of others and mine are mine. We will just have to agree to disagree on the company.

foxweasel: Did you try to contact them via the facebook? I've tried to contact several minis companies before and never heard back. Mind you, these are companies that have stellar reputations, so I don't think that it is completely fair to condemn a company based on email responsiveness. However, the ideal is that companies are highly responsive to inquiries and requests, so I feel that we should attempt to push the market that way.

At the end of the day I feel we have to remember that not all minis companies are Games Workshop or Warlord. Most of them are run by 1-4 people on a part-time basis who are, at the end of the day, fallible humans. I also feel that we as a community should try to be more pleasant in our treatment of others in this hobby. Far too many people in our shared have visceral, knee-jerk reactions to perceived slights or simple human mistakes. Maybe it is just the internet or maybe not, but I try to act the exact same on the internet as I do in person.

Now before anyone gets angry, I am not referring to any of the posters on this thread, but I have seen vitriol directed at companies and people that far exceeds whatever slight that initially started the attacks.

My experience with this company has been the exact opposite of what you/your' friends or internet acquaintances experienced. Timely service, lightning-fast response times, and fantastic minis. I just recently had a missing piece for one of the vehicles I ordered. I sent them a message on facebook and, despite being swamped with post-Salute orders, they responded within a business day and told me they would include the missing piece, no questions asked. I and many other customers would gladly recommend this company for potential buyers and if anyone wants 10% off their first order, let me know and I can send you a referral code.

Gunnar

P.S.: Sorry about the essay

I placed an order from this company a couple weeks ago. I got an email from them last Friday stating that due to greater than expected demand they will be slow in filling my order. I greatly appreciated their email and as long as they continue to keep me informed I'm a happy customer.

foxweasel20 Apr 2016 2:23 p.m. PST

Seems a bit hit and miss with them, maybe they don't check their mailbox all the time. I ordered some figures from them a while ago, lovely figures but the NVGs were missing, a piece of paper in the box said "nvgs coming soon" I'm not holding my breath.
I don't have an issue with any up and coming company that is struggling with manning and time problems, if I had an email or letter saying my figures wouldn't be ready for a year that would be ok as at least they had contacted me.
