Agreed; it never gets old, thanks for sharing your pictures.

My favorite game is the ECW siege game, just brilliant, also like the 40mm and 54mm Napoleonic games as well as the 28mm ACW Antietam game…………spectacular efforts by all…………..

Have to say in response to one thought about traders running games, ours was a combined effort with H&R, South Somerset Wargames Group and the Army wargames Association. I have heard it went well but after spending a few months painting and prepping I was in the air en route from Paris to Cameroon during Salute, having been given 2 weeks notice by work!!

Tally Ho!

Maybe someday Salute can get up to Historicon levels

I know size isn't everything but at (quoting from its own website) at 3500 to 4000 attendees snd with around 100 traders, Historicon is approximately half the size of Salute…

Sure, 4 days to game would be absolutely great but – in central London – less than practical.

Thanks for the photos Big Lee – I get to see what I missed!

I was being sarcastic , John !!

One of the HMGS board members went to check out Salute to see if we could get some ideas and draw some new vendors to improve Historicon. What I heard is some people got a bit indignant that we might have anything to learn from Salute especially given the more visually appealing quality of their games

Ahhh – sorry about that. As ever, humour is terribly hard to spot sometimes on the web.

I hate emoticons and their like but – under duress – I've come to accept that they have their place.

wink
