Does anyone have any and/or could point me to them.

I mean a straight conversion of say a Warhammer ORC unit to Black Powder stats. I am not talking about Flintloque type armies.

Cheers in anticipation

Brian

If its sword and sorcery fantasy, you're probably looking for Hail Caesar mods. Or did you mean blackpowder fantasy?

I don't have any lists. I would imagine that the conversion from the warmaster stats would be almost exact. For warmaster each stand had a number of attacks and a number of shots.

For most shooting units it was 3/1. I'd imagine for non-fantasy humans it would be more like 2/1. So you get the 6/3 shots for Black Powder.

If I were going to do it, that is how I would convert it.

So Orcs would be 12/0 attacks 3 hits 6+ save.

Goblins would be 6/3 attacks, 3 hits short range, say 9" no save

Black orcs would be 12/0 4 hits 5+ save
Trolls 15/0 3 hits, 5+ save
Ogres 12/0 4 hits, 5+ save
Boar riders 12/0 3 hits, 5+ save
wolf riders 6/3, 3 hits, 6+ save short range shooting
wolf chariots 9/0, 3 hits, 6+ save
Giant 8/0, 8 hits, 5+ save can be wounded giant rules

And on and on. If you want arrer boyz they would be:

9/3, 3 hits, 6+ save normal shooting.

If you don't have a copy of warmaster it might be more difficult but this is how I would do it.

So, let me get this straight.
Say a Black Orcs Unit is Standard Size.
It has 12 melee dice
0 shooting dice
Stamina 4
Morale Save 5+

Then any special rules you want to apply: Bloodthirsty, Ferocious Charge or whatever.

If its sword and sorcery fantasy, you're probably looking for Hail Caesar mods. Or did you mean blackpowder fantasy?

Yes. That is correct. There are some special rules that apply to units in the Warmaster rulebook already but not many.

Trolls for example are stupid and have a -1 to leadership to command and have regenerate. To do this for Black Powder you might want to make them unreliable and have them do an auto rally roll each turn.

Ogres also have a special rule where they are fond of eating people. Not elves, dwarfs or orcs, just humans. So they have to initiative charge human troops.

But apply what you feel like.

There is a Fantasy version of Hail Caesar called "Shadowstorm" doing the rounds on the Web. Perhaps some of the stats from that could help you out as Hail Caesar and Black Powder basically use the same mechanics . I'm sorry I don't know how to provide a link but I did see it over on LAF . cheers Tom

The Shadow Storm adaption can be found via the FaceBook page.

The only major difference between Black Powder stats and Hail Caesar stats is that in HC the Stamina value is 'doubled' i.e. from average 3 to 6.

There are also two hand-to-hand combat values in HC and two ranged values – where in BP there is only 1 of each.

Thanks for that clarification Rick.
