Do tanks in a platoon operate in pairs? If so, what's the maximum distance the pairs would be separated by? Would they ever go out of line-of-sight of the other pair? |

Yes sorry I didn't clarify that I was after the distance between the two pairs, not between individual vehicles. |

From what I've read, tactical separation is usually 50m, or so for ones in the same "section". Could be a bit more, or less, depending upon what they're doing. In bounding overwatch, I suspect you'd see them move 200m – 500m, or so, at a time, and then have the others catch up to their position. |

Bounds would be so that the covered element was inside the range of the covering element. So, like above 2-500m. Usually in sight of the lead element |
