A question for those in the know about uniforms. How late could these uniforms be used? I am wanting some British colonial troops for Pulp Gaming and wondered what period these could stretch to. Thanks James |

1877-1885 is late 19th century, not 18th. |

Wargame Insomniac…well they could , theorically, be used ..as the box said..up to 1885…also if they are in kaki and in puttees..so quite late appearance ..but, in my humble opinion.being the main feature of those nice minis to be, in lastic, elatively cheaper and in kakiwith puttees they could, for game purposes, be used up to 1900-1 (Reconquest of sudan in 1898, Boer War, Boxer Rebellion, NWF of India ecc..).the original 1885 limit is given by their equipment/ pouches, weapon and , to a certain extent helmet cover….BUT ,if you envisage to use them for non historical Pulp Games ..or also for the above mentioned Historical fronts with a less purist approach and at this scale they are absolutly fine.. |

I think in the 1890's the equipment carried on soldiers' backs starts to look quite different -eg the horizontal blankroll topped by round canteen on lower back gives a different look. |

They appear to be armed with Martini-Henry rifles which predated the Lee-Metfords of the reconquest of the Soudan, the Tirah revolt of 1897 and the Second Boer War. |

My question is, "If you get three packs, who is going to take care of all the dogs?" |
