Hello all,

I am looking for a painting tutorial for Pendraken's line of LoA figures…if possible, French.

(Note: SYW, ACW, or AWI does not count. I am looking for something very specific to cover painting LoA figures in this scale. I could not find it on Pendraken's forum, the Yahoo group, or 10mm Yahoo group.

Thanks to all,

William

I saw this earlier, and meant to put this on my list of tutorials I was not interested in, simply b/c it does not show the same figure, but rather differant figures in different stages.

Ilodic,

Not a painting tutorial but examples of my painted units on my blog

link

As I paint large armies, I'm at the 1000 figure point I use a simple but effective method….

For French infantry, with the majority being grey I do the following.

1. Base coat the figure in Army Painter Uniform Grey
2. Dry brush with a light grey, Vallajo Sky Grey
3. Block paint regimental colours, usually stockings, breaches and cuffs
4. Equipment belts, some form of sand or buff colour
5. Weapon stock and sword grips brown
6. Gunmetal on barrels and swords
7. Bronze musket butts and sword baskets, scabbard ends
8. Hair, any shade of brown
9. Hats, Vallajo German or Black Grey, but not straight black
10. Flesh

Leave the lots to dry over night and then coat in Army Painter Dark Tone, I brush this on NEVER dip the figures.

My infantry regiments are 51 figures strong, cavalry are 16, mounted dragoons 12, foot dragoons 20

Hope that helps
