Can anyone offer their experiences in using the Blucher rules with French and Russian armies from 1812. I have two armies to be painted and I can, perhaps, make up sabot bases to which I can add the appropriate statistics without changing my existing bases. The figures are 15mm in size and I would probably want to use 100x50 mm sabot bases. |

I love Blucher, played a few games and watched about twice as many. I observed a French vs Russian battle this past Saturday. Figures were 15mm and based on 3"x2" bases (one side were actually on sabots). Some quick observations on the battle: Cossacks were rubbish but cheap, French artillery were surprisingly effective against the Russian artillery. It was a very close affair and each turn seemed to alternate who had the upper hand. I left before the conclusion but it could have gone either way. I am collecting 10mm armies on 60x40mm bases. I snapped a few pics of the French/Russian battle, email me if you want them: lecoqfou at gmail |
