Assume that every single TMP thread will be full of SPOILERS.
So, don't click if SPOILERS bother you.

Jon Snow is dead, btw.

Winston Smith10 Apr 2016 2:05 p.m. PST

And I refuse to apologize.

Earl of the North10 Apr 2016 2:35 p.m. PST

Is he completely dead, mostly dead, partially dead or just a little bit dead…..

We are pretty much at the point where I'm running out of characters to like and I'm heading towards just hoping for the white walkers to wipe everybody out.

Coelacanth10 Apr 2016 2:38 p.m. PST

Nonsense. Everyone knows that he sleeps in a cave in Kyffhäuser mountain, awaiting the day of his nation's greatest peril.

I think that red priestess of R'hllor will revive him, she has had too much interest in him not to!

skippy000110 Apr 2016 3:49 p.m. PST

Spoil away!! I'm converting the whole shebang to BattleTech anyway.:)

RavenscraftCybernetics10 Apr 2016 4:01 p.m. PST

the night is dark and full of terrors!

Disco Joe10 Apr 2016 6:52 p.m. PST

I think the butler did it.

saltflats192910 Apr 2016 7:44 p.m. PST

No, it was Tyrion, in the lavatory, with the crossbow.

Moonraker Miniatures11 Apr 2016 3:00 a.m. PST

He died 3 or 4 years ago when I read the books….

langobard11 Apr 2016 4:08 a.m. PST

That's reasonable (that TMP threads will be full of spoilers I mean) at this point like a few others I'm not particularly worried since so many of the characters I liked are dead anyway…

Winston Smith11 Apr 2016 4:56 a.m. PST

Yeah. I had a soft spot in my heart for Stannis. Now, who is going to correct the ignorant about "less and fewer"?

Disco Joe11 Apr 2016 5:22 a.m. PST

Well they could always reincarnate him.

DontFearDareaper Fezian11 Apr 2016 10:40 a.m. PST

I saw an interesting theory on Youtube. It assumes R+L=J is correct and that John has enough Targaryian blood that he gets revived when they tried to burn his body and the Red Priestess has little or nothing to do with it other than confirming R+L=J to John. …for the night is dark and full of spoilers..

Goonfighter11 Apr 2016 1:12 p.m. PST

As soon as he's revived, the Cigarette Smoking Man will appear with a black ops team to rendite him back to the secure facility where they will continue to develop a Human-Dragon hybrid as a means of defeating the White Walkers.

No doubt about Viserys's Targaeyean blood. How did that work out for him?

In fact in the books quite a few Targs tried it and found out to their chagrin "not exactly".
Starting with Aegon the Crispy.

Goonfighter11 Apr 2016 2:03 p.m. PST

good point but who says it needs internal consistency? I mean GRRM is clearly making up it up as he goes along, so it's probably infectious.

DontFearDareaper Fezian11 Apr 2016 11:09 p.m. PST

It absolutely DID work for Dany and obviously didn't for Visery's so it clearly doesn't work just because your a Targaryian but it has worked for some so it could work for John if indeed R+L=J is true in the storyline. Happily soon we will all know one way or the other once the season starts.

Winston Smith12 Apr 2016 5:23 a.m. PST

Quentyn Martell is another case where a few drops of Targaryean blood didn't render him fireproof. Yet another plot line that the series has thankfully abandoned.

Jon is a special case. He is (maybe) the Song of Ice and Fire.
Dad was a bookworm until he read something that made him decide that he was no ordinary Targ. Lyanna was of the North. So, as usual in fantasy, blood tells. Ordinary people need not apply. Maybe Jon is fireproof (but wait, in the books he burned his hands very badly…) and can also warg.

Lots of individuals will die. mostly due to violent acts done to them.

--Johnny! Johnny Snow! Wake up Johnnyyyy! <thunks Snow's head against the stones> See? He is _dead_.
--He's stunned's all.
--Stunned?
--Naw, he's just pinin' for the Wall.
--Pinin' for the Wall???? If you hadn't fixed him to the chair with 2 dozen sword-blades, he'd've slid down the ice-slope all the way to King's Landing! He is expired, bereft of life, completely exsanguinated! Pierced like a pincushion, he has achieved room temperature. _This_ _is_ _an_ _ex-character_!!!!
