Below is a link to pictures of a display I did today for the local Tartan Day celebration. It's based on Queen Victoria reviewing her Scottish troops at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh.

Beautiful display of a glorious collection!

Pity the Union flag is upside down.

Only us Brits would notice that Duncan.

Am not sure where 4thsub hails from but I do know that there are plenty of non-brits who would notice. (Where are you from sir?).

Unfortunately there are also many brits who would not.

I'm a non-Brit from Pittsburgh and will use that as my excuse. I can remedy that for the next time so that the Union Jack is not in distress.

Very good 4thsub!

I'm from Stirling Scotland Duncan. But am now living in Oxford.

For those of us not-in-the-know, which Union flag was upside down -- the one borne by the color party or the one on the flag staff?

Dicymick10 Apr 2016 1:49 p.m. PST

The flag in the Colour Party. Its not upside down it's the wrong way round. The thick white line of the St Andrews Cross should be at the top corner of the flag staff.

JimDuncanUK10 Apr 2016 2:09 p.m. PST

The one in the colour party is upside down.

Look at the diagonals in each of the four quarters.

If the flag staff is on the left then in the top left and bottom left quarters the white component of the diagonal is above the red part.

In the top right and bottom right quarters the red component is above the white part.

When you look at the flag when the flagpole is on the right the right hand quarters have the white component above the red part.

Don't worry too much about it being insulting to my country as many people in this country either don't know or don't care. That is a shame.

Lovely display. Thanks for sharing. Now get those colours squared away! :-)

For the record, the color party was made by Frontline Figures. If you go to their website frontline-figures.com/, you'll see some color parties are correct and others are not.

Just had a look at their colour parties, the British ones anyway.

Their attention to detail is somewhat lacking.
