Has anyone used BoP for Miniatures? Any reviews about the system? The PDFs are on Wargame Vault and I was thinking about picking them up. Worth a look? |

I'm not a disinterested party (I'm in the developer's play group) … You'll learn a lot about air combat, far more than most computer flight sims. Of course, it's quite complex. BoP is not adaptable to a hex less system. The 30 degree facing system in all directions (horizontal and vertical) allowed the designer to precalculate a lot of things and hide horrible math in clever play aids. Going hex less would require a computer just to track orientation. You also get real problems with false precision. Please keep in mind that Ad Astra Games makes about 80% more money if you buy direct from them, instead of through WV. |
