OK, so last Satyrday, Bashytubits, myself, and Mike got together for a game of Frostgrave. Bashy had his orcs led by bigger orc and/or ogre wizards, Mike had some humans, and I had some gnolls. We played a very basic game to try and iron the rules before we start on a campaign.

Interestingly enough, it appears we have settled on "deep winter" as a terrain theme well after I had built some "early spring meltoff" items, but no problems here, much of translates very well to deep winter and I had done up the gnolls with snow bases just in case we went in that direction.

Anyways, here are a variety of uncaptioned pictures to show you all the wonders of our game and scenery, and one captioned picture to show the Hero Of The Day.

This is the Hero Of The Day, one of Bashytubit's orc archers. Nicknamed "pinky" due to an incomplete paint job, he killed both mine and Mike's wizards. Frostgrave doesn't really have a system for promoting soldiers, so he will forever remain just an archer, but he really does deserve some recognition.

I love your set up! Particularly that castle! Is that all carved from regular white styrofoam?
While technically there's no system for promoting soldiers; what we often do on our campaign is, for example, say you're paying the 100 GC to send Pinky to Ranger School,or buy him the gear to make him an official Ranger, after which he is trained to be a Ranger. That way you get to use the same favorite character.

The castle is ceramic, and part of Mike's collection. The white styrofoam belongs to Bashytubits, and the various cardstock clutter is mine.
