Good day, Been reading up on Greedy weasils…ummm, GW bringing back out some of the old games.
After looking at my old BFG fleets I have a few suggestion. 1. Plastic cruiser sprues……most peoples ships are 15 years old and the plastic is degrading. Most of what little you can find on E-bay is beat up or painted and you can not strip it without melting the plastic. This is a top priority if they bring the game back out…..But greedy prices on cheap plastics could kill it before it starts if they are stupid. 2. Been watching you tube BFG armada games and noticed Chaos has a light cruiser. this is a must have if they bring the game back out to fill a gap in their fleet. 3. Fleet boxes at reasonable (yeah..gonna happen….right)prices could lower the number of SKU's they have to carry 4. noticed all sorts of other goodies on You tube with ships gainging XP so an extra cost chart for the goodies and abilities could be useful to allow players to beef up ships a bit. 5. Just bringing out the previous models at a reasonable price would be a great first step, and a re release of the box set is also a must if they wish to get new and younger players involved. Reasonable is NOT $20 USD to $25 USD for a plastic sprue that costs them a buck to make also. Add in if you have ideas or fleet needs.

Most likely GW will release a box set at over $100 USD with lots of miniatures, rules, templates, etc. and other ephemera and that will be all that is released. GW seems to be going for the board game model in releasing an entire self contained game. We will have to see what GW does with the new version of Blood Bowl. That has the traditional Human and Ork teams but will they release all the other racial teams? We will have to see. |

I think Age of Sigmar may have shot em in the foot. Made a clean breaking point for all the older players hanging on by their fingernails. KoW has been gaining traction quickly and GW has burned the bridge on the old version. The older games may be needed to bring em back a bit…at least till they regain traction and drop them again. As for the self contained set, unless they scrap most races and stick to the Imp/Chaos line up it would be difficult to pack all that in a box. I could see them go the plastic escort route but they will not be near the quality of the metal ones. On the other had with BFG Armada coming out it may be a natural first release for them. After killing the Warhammer world, they will have a problem with Warmaster unless they split the game and keep the old timeline for the 10MM game. Larger armies, same background,…yeh…that might be doable. Mordheim on the other hand may be DOA. Frostgrave has filled that slot and they killed the old world on top of it. Not much left to go back to and there is another game filling the slot now. Necromunda on the other had is still a go, just like Blood Bowl, Epic, and maybe Gorka Morka. Spacefleet is an older version of BFG, and do not have any experiance with Man O War. |

They might bring back the entire line, plus more. They are doing this with Lord of the Rings, of which they just renewed the license. There is hope! |

GW seems to be going for the board game model in releasing an entire self contained game. But oddly enough, they have someone else makes their actual boardgames for them. Necromunda on the other had is still a go Necromunda would now work so much better with the current "plastic with lots of interchangeable bits" model. The old minis should have at least had separate weapons. Frostgrave has filled that slot and they killed the old world on top of it. Too right. FG is hard evidence that Mordheim, or something like it, was a vacuum waiting to be filled. |

Sigh……found a Chinese knock off company recasting the ships in resin. For the record I hate companies that steal others IP, never buy from them, and do not even think on it. But in this case, It has been abandoned for years with no avalible parts in better then meh condition at high prices. Where do you draw the line and say they abandoned it and you are on your own???
Not suggesting anything, just curious on how others feel about it. Been gaming for 45+ years and never had this issue before. |

The IP hasn't been abandoned, they just released a video game based on BFG IP, and the ships exist in the FFG RPGs. I'm not a lawyer, but seem like they are making use of their IP in this case, but not in the actual BFG game at this time. |

Tyranids. Not just for BFG for a variety of games. Preferably plastic, but we can take what we can get. |

If they do something my money's in a dreadfleet ripoff |

My money is and will be on a BFG restart. They have a computer game to back it up and advertise it at the moment. From what I have seen on you tube the comp game moves way too fast to handle large fleets of more then 1K. Good lead in to a re release of BFG and BFG can be for those who are not into computers or want larger more involved games. |
