I know there are several very nice 15mm SciFi civilian vehicles on the market, but are there any recommendations for crashed/trashed/ruined civilian SciFi vehicles (aside from hacking up some of the aforementioned very nice vehicles)?

Kj that's a good question….to my knowledge I'd say no

Try contacting these guys to see if they'll sell you miscasts? Could be an easy way to grab them on the cheap.

make a mold of vehicle with tinfoil
'crush' the mold
fill with plaster

Ingenious idea. Thanks for posting.

You can also push them into FIMO, or other similar clays that don't stick to stuff, and then bend slightly to remove the "master" vehicle. Then, flatten back out, and fill with plaster, or other desired materials that will harden at a low temperature.

Of course, silicones, and other advanced plastics for molding can be used in the same way.

I'm not aware of any wrecks either, but you can mash up/hammer Matchbox and Hot Wheels toys, and others too, if desired. They don't cost much, so are probably your least expensive option for that sort of thing.

In the past I have visited Model Railroad Swap Meets and found stuff right up your alley.

You could go and get a bunch of 1/100 scale cars from Ebay where there are about 50 cars for like $16 USD-$19 Dollars, you could pop them apart remove the glass section and put them ack together and paint to your desire.

I've seen some with the tin-foil method where the goal was just to make it look like a crash and not like they were sent to Pick-N-Pull for recycling. Very good effect and final version was just cheap plaster.

I gotta try that method. It's cheap and easy. I'll call it the 'Miley Cyrus' method.

I think they look great
but didn't think they were what the OP was looking for
