I took these pictures to put up on the Marketplace Board.
But I thought I would share them with this board because, I doubt that many people have ever seen these sculpts or heard of Ahketon. They were only in business for a short while.

These figures were featured in Ian Weekley's Alamo Diorama that is in his book on building wargames terrain.

Anyone else remember these?

thanks. Are they "proper" 25mm?

nevinsrip02 Apr 2016 11:45 p.m. PST

They are 25 mm in height almost exactly. They look taller because of their girth.

"They were only in business a short while" … You bet! Cashed my cheque but I'm still waiting for the order to arrive.

Arhh they take me back to 1986-87. :) I bought a whole load at the Harrow Model shop.

The figures in Ian Weekleys book are mine!

He made the Alamo for me back then. I went to visit him at the Old Anchor Of Hope in Buxtom Lamas, Norfolk on many occasions and we photographed the finished buildings and figures at one of these meetings. They also appeared in a very old edition of a Wargames magazine which the name of escapes me.

Thanks for posting this. :)

I still have my Ahketon Afghan Hill Fort made out of fragile plaster of Paris. I think their figures were sub par even in the 1980's. Some of them scarcely look human.
