Hi!

Does anyone know if the Warlord ancient Celts, Britons and Germans are completely different sprues, or share common bodies with a differing accessory sprue? I can't find photos of all three sprues for comparison.

Cheers!

At least for the Germans they and the Celts share some of the same acrobatic poses but they are as I recall different sprues

Unless they retooled somewhere along the line, the Britons and Germans are the Celt sprues with extra metal accessories.

While we're on the subject of their 'lively' poses, can anyone recommend a plastics manufacturer that does compatible figures but with slightly less acrobatic poses?

Not at the moment unfortunately, as my answer to that would have been Wargames Factory….

The Dacian box also has the Celt sprues with extra metal parts

I've mixed up parts of Warlord Celts with Wargames Factory.
But you need some (basic) modeling skills.

Thanks- I suspected as much!

How big are the basic Celts compared to the Warlord Roman legionaries?

The Warlord legionaries are well known for being very small, but their auxiliaries are bigger and don't look too bad next to Black Tree Designs metal miniatures.

I got a Warlord Roman starter army for peanuts so have decided to live with the diminutive legionaries, but wondered how the Celts compared?

The Celts are bigger – probably not as big as Black Tree (who are usually at the top end of any size range) but certainly comparable with Wargames Factory, Crusader etc.
