The INVASION kickstarter will consist of a two player starter box with a total of 36 high quality miniatures, for two of the four original Flesh and Steel factions: the Union of Terra, and Heimdall Industries. The other two factions, Centauri Brotherhood and the Ascaryan Infestation will be released in the near future.

The box will also include 40 Markers (Cardboard), 30 Health Marker Tokens, 7 Dice, one Cardstock Ruler, one Starter Terrain Kit (5 buildings and 9 walls, in foldable cardstock) and a 48 page Rulebook.

Digging the style a lot. Channeling some Borderlands in there :)

Allen5728 Mar 2016 12:57 p.m. PST

18mm? I really, really do not need another scale.

Lupulus28 Mar 2016 1:39 p.m. PST

Really good faces on those.

@Allen57: have you measured any of your "15mm" minis lately?

:)

Mako1128 Mar 2016 1:42 p.m. PST

Just truth in advertising, about the 18mm figs, which I applaud.

Weasel28 Mar 2016 1:44 p.m. PST

Yeah, I'm thinking it'll be a lot closer to what size our figures actually are :-)

nukesnipe28 Mar 2016 1:50 p.m. PST

Here I go again….

Vedra Games28 Mar 2016 2:53 p.m. PST

Thanks for the comments!

Our standard human infantry is 18mm to the eyes, but there are other models, like the Heimdall Agent (you have it on the first pic, to the right), that are 21mm to the eyes. This is roughly a 1/90 scale.

Our vehicles on the other hand, are 1/100 (slightly smaller in scale to make them more practical to play with and more visually coherent on the table).

We will post more pictures in the next few days of both infantry and vehicles so that you can get a better impression.

Cheers!

Colour me interested.

Stealth100028 Mar 2016 4:35 p.m. PST

These are right up my street.

Lupulus28 Mar 2016 11:38 p.m. PST

"18mm to the eyes"
So you mean to say these are actually 20 mm miniatures? Because the way I see it, 18mm minis are 15mm minis measured to the eye.

Mute Bystander29 Mar 2016 3:50 a.m. PST

Pass. Decent figures but all those counters? Not for me.

Success in your efforts.

nukesnipe29 Mar 2016 5:08 a.m. PST

Silly question: does the height to eye include the base, or is it foot to eye?

Regards,

Scott Chisholm

Vedra Games29 Mar 2016 7:17 a.m. PST

If you put it that way, you are absolutely correct, Lupulus :)

The "to the eyes" measure is just bit more accurate, that´s all (it avoids hats, helmets, spiky hair and all that fun stuff).

Scott, the measurement is feet to eyes, without the base.

Mute Bystander, you won´t need all the counters all the time!

Health markers are actually little pegs that come in 3 colours (yellow, orange, and red) to indicate wounds, by inserting them in a little hole on the base of the figure (instead of using a die next to the figure to indicate wounds). You will obviously use a few of them at any given time but there needs to be a good number of them available!

The bases on the pic are wood, but the ones in the game box will be plastic.

Activation markers are used to count the Command points you are spending (you can count them however you like but we provide little markers for you).

The rest of the markers are the fewer of the lot, and are used to count impacts or mark statuses (stunned, etc). Some represent resources that you need to capture in Special Missions, and etc.

Please keep in mind that final colours may vary from the ones on the picture.

In fewer words, we are providing you with absoulutely everything you´ll need to play both simple and complex missions, but the actual gameplay is not crowded with counters at all ;)

Hope this clarifies!

Maxim C Gatling29 Mar 2016 10:32 a.m. PST

What's the diameter of the bases? 2cm?

Vedra Games29 Mar 2016 11:14 a.m. PST

Hi! the bases are 25mm. The figures on the picture belong to Heimdall Industries, a slightly taller type of human.

Here´s some pics of the Union of Terra brigades, the standard human, next to a Heimdall Agent:

And since we are at it, here is the Union of Terra Hunter, as we promised earlier (its base is 50mm):

Remember you can find all this and more in the Kickstarter project´s webpage:

Cheers!

The Kickstarter is live tomorrow…make sure to get an early bird discount!.

On the banner you can see these renders:

Union of Terra´s Major Battleloid, a powerful bipod (on a 50mm base):

Union of Terra´s TAT, an armoured troop transport (on a 50mm base):

And this one gives you an idea of how our renders translate into real resin figures. Pretty accurate!:

Stay tunned!

My advice? Just pay for it yourself and release the minis as per pre-kickstarter standards.

You already have the work done. Just throw down on molding, get any dreams of plastics out of your head and start casting.

Lfseeney11 Apr 2016 6:33 p.m. PST

If they were 15mm to the eyes or so would have jumped at it.

20mm I have no need for, at all.
