We've been playing this mini campaign from the last Toofatlardies' Xmas special and having a pretty good time running through Japanese platoons. But Game 3 was a bit of a change from that form. It was set up to be a repeat of the second game because the Aussies held and elected to remain in place to face another Japanese 'Probe' William and John F had the Diggers and Rob and I split a Japanese force. Our plan this time was to take advantage of the weakened AIF force and go around the left flank using a 'Ruse' while diverting the defenders with a tank coming down the trail at them. We managed to get our Jump of Point(JoP) in a great position on the left, but a run of phases at the start by the Aussies saw them run a section over our well-placed JoP before we come even deploy from it. This game was noted for both sides having a series of phases in a row. We even had the four '6's come up for a random event. In the end we managed to go down the right flank and force their retreat. Anyone else playing out this campaign? Link to flickr pics: link Great game and a fun campaign.

Excellent terrain. Are there any 'how to' guides for it? "Anyone else playing out this campaign?" Not quite the same but I have the Glosters (perry 8th army in India Pattern piths) awaiting paint for a Burma Retreat force. |

Looks great fun. Wish every Flickr user would post photos as you did here so non-Flickr users can enjoy the photos. I do not want to join Flickr to see the photos after being enticed with some intereting post. You did better. Thanks! |

Thanks for the post. Like everyone else, I think your terrain is really good. Do you find it cumbersome being so tight? I love the look of it, but wonder at the ease of play with so much terrain on the table. Matthew |

45thdiv, It is tight, but the individual trees and various bits can be moved around to fit stuff in. And game play is never slowed down because we are knocking a tree or two about. Frankly we have more problems with some out-of-control dice tosses than terrain issues. Thanks, Mark |

Beautiful terrain. I was considering trying out that Campaign myself. Ive done some stuff with chindits, but i feel bad for the other units in burma that don't get used as much. you may have convinced me!(i'll pretend I can make it look that good) |

Planning on these battles using FOW. Not a fan of "having a series of phases in a row." Just waiting for them to release the British Pacific / Far East source book. |
