One thing I have noriced buying both brands is the Osmy stuff is quite smaller then tumbling dice. I thought they were both 1/600, obviously i am mistaken. What is the scale difference between them? |

TD tend to be a bit more chunky so to speak. And I would bet that one or the other is either truly 1/580 or 1/625 or so. I do not mix them together personally because they are so different. I love both though. |

They are quite different in size and style. I've measured a few of the TD large Russian fighters (Mig-25s), and they are a bit bigger than 1/600th, but that makes them closer to the diecast bombers I want to use them with, so I'm good with that. I wouldn't mix them in the same unit, and same types, but otherwise, I think they're fine. I've got some from both companies now, and plan to keep them separated by theater, once I get them painted up, in most cases, where both offer the same aircraft. |

Sounds like I should get some TD F16s to use as JASDF F2s, then. |

Noticed it depends on the aircraft. For example, the MiG-29's for both are very close while the MiG-21's from TD are noticeably bulkier. While I personally prefer OO, happily use both, but as above, don't mix the same types together. |

My OCD takes an overdrive when it comes to this. Osmy stuff is usually the right size. Apart from MN-632 (Sisu XA-180 wheeled APC), just to 'bulky' and MN-608 (Strv 103 tank), slightly to wide, most of it is spot on. Some people love TD. However unless you are 'committed' to it – i.e. have £2,000.00 GBP of the stuff, I would recommend Osmy. A good example is the MirageIII. The Osmy one is the correct size for 1/600, the TD offering is nearer 1/500. As above, the TD stuff is bulkier – don't get me started on their MirageIV! Having said that their EE Canberra is nice, its a 'bulky' machine anyway, and the Tu-22 and Tu-16 is good. |
