A couple of months ago I talked about war-gaming the 1914 Naval War in the Agean that was averted by the break out of WW1. I have now collected all the potential capital ships of the Greek Navy in 1914. Some bad photos at

Happy to see that you are another happy customer of Molniya. Sergei and Ken are good friends of mine.

Interesting ideas! I've seen drawings of the Salamis, and remember thinking it was a bit unfair that Greece ended up having to make partial payment to Germany, even though the ship was never delivered due to WWI. Weren't the main guns being built by Bethlehem Steel in the US? I don't recall if we ever got paid for the guns or perhaps built them into one of our ships or a coastal battery.

Who makes Hydra, Psara, and Spetsai? I looked years ago, and they weren't available then. The only Greek ship I have is a scratch built Basileus Georgios to go with my Houston's Turkish ships.

Lots of good ideas--have to think about this!

The 14" guns for Salamis were purchased by Great Britain and used in the four "Abercrombie" class monitors.

Yes War Times Journal makes the Hydra class in multiple scales. And the Molynia sculpts were great.

The whole Greek-Turkish arms race and how its financial consequences had to be take care off is a fascinating topic.
