I have plans to try and continue my run on napoleonics but my ACW collection is calling so I will try and keep both going! Famous last words! Well maybe!

So thanks for looking
Cheers for now Russ

Oh wow. I have been waiting for someone to do them in the Tarletons…(will anyone do the third headwear, the tropical version? Does seem very imaginative, which is a nice way of saying a bit obscure)

I just have the command sprue (and a lead mountain) to toy with……I want to do some RHA conversions. These are superb and inspiring.

My trumpeters always go on greys whatever nation. Just looks good. Heck, I will even have the light cavalry carry a guidon standard, for the same reason

It's kind of funny, I looked at the picture before I looked at the name. And I thought, that looks like brakens style. Sure enough, done by you. Really nice. How do you find the time to do all of this painting? TIG

Lovely work! I find lacing difficult. Yours look great.

Zargon25 Mar 2016 12:21 p.m. PST

Nicely done, may they fight well.

Deadhead…i assume this is the mew plastic set. In which case they come with a choice of heads which includes the tropical helmet as worn in India.

Sorry, I was unclear in my posting. What I meant by "do" was not will anyone manufacture them, but will anyone "use" those tropical heads on figures? Will we see some painted units in the near future? I am just delighted to finally see the Tarleton, laced, figures finished.

I only have the command set, but that does have the tropical option too. Great value with so many spare parts!

Thanks guys for all the comments they are all welcome. First up thanks Bill that thumbs up smiley face is spot on! Thank you

ironicon, thank you they took a bit of doing but I'm growing to like them more and more.

deadhead, how could I not do them in Tarletons! They look so much better in them, and yes I second the comment about Greys for the trumpeters. I like the sound of RHA conversions though.

Thanks TIG, I work full time but I have a very understanding wife, I do try and get a couple of hours in most days, and my wife works nights so if im about during the day I need to be quite so she can get some sleep! Paintings real quite so it works out quite well.

Thanks wrgmr1, the lace seemed pretty easy to do! Which surprised me, I normally struggle with Napoleonic figures but these worked out pretty well.

Thanks Zargon, more French cavalry are moving onto the paint table real soon!

Green Tiger, the set comes with loads of options , its one of the things I like about perry miniatures!

Dead head I'm not sure about the tropical option, but I'm pretty sure it won't be to long before someone posts pics.

Thanks Gonsalvo, they almost look like proper Napoleonic figures, even with my lack of knowledge .

Thanks guys, the next lot will be more French cavalry in between my ACW additions!

So thanks for looking
Cheers for now Russ
