In 2011, Adam dropped off the internet, and I was wondering if anyone knows how he is?

He operated the Miniature History of the American Revolution blog, and was also a member of TMP.

His last visit here was 14 November 2011, and his last blog post was 13 November 2011.

Looks like this is his contact info:

And his last rating (as a professor) was 12/27/15, so
he's probably still there at UND.

Adam D here. A TMP member alerted me to this thread, and I created a new account so that I could participate.

To answer Bill's question, I'm doing fine.

I put a lot of time into the blog during 2009-2011 -- so much so that I felt like it was having a negative effect on my work and home life. That bothered me a lot. Also, my wife and I had a third child on the way, and I wanted to really step up and help out at home. I didn't realize it immediately, but my priorities changed and I stopped painting miniatures and working on the blog as a result.

I'm still interested in history, and I've read extensively on a number of Revolutionary War battles over the past few years. I've also done a modest amount of new painting. Last summer, for example, I painted up a 15mm version of the Volunteers of Ireland, which was the last unit I needed to do a 1:20 recreation of the Battle of Camden. Most recently I started a 15mm version of the 19th Foot, which fought at Shubrick's Plantation, SC, in 1781.

I don't have any plans to revive the blog at this time, but one day I'd like to write about the Revolutionary War again, whether it's through the blog or another medium.

Keep posting the occasional "progress report" on here, though, yes? I – and I'm sure that I'm not the only one – really enjoyed your stuff.

Yes, do stop in. I still enjoy the blog updates or not.

Another vote for occasional updates, AD!
Best wishes.

Thanks for the comments, I'll be sure to provide updates.

I've even compiled posts about Cowpens into a booklet and printed it !
All best wishes with your family life, but please dont forget us, admirers of your work.
