So who is going to see this?

Ragbones21 Mar 2016 2:19 p.m. PST

I love both characters but the entire premise of the story turns me off. Perhaps when it it comes on HBO or Max.

Winston Smith21 Mar 2016 2:47 p.m. PST

The whole premise of the movie is just plain wrong.

Can't wait to see Supes get his ass kicked !

Another of Zach Snider's drab, mopey, blue-tinged gifts to the art of filming.

The whole premise of the movie is just plain wrong.

Like the last Superman movie wasn't? Supes paid half as much mind to civilian casualties and collateral damage as ANY Godzilla monster, and in the end, Bleeped texting killed his adversary in cold blood. Yeah, THAT'S what Superman is all about.

And this one is being marketed HEAVILY to little kids (and everyone else).

Looks awful.

After the last Snyder abomination I say absolutely not to seeing this one in the theaters. He will get no more of my money.

While this one has Batman, I'm not a big fan of Snyder's previous work so I'll give it a pass. Will watch it on BluRay tho most likely, because Batman.

I can't say it appeals. If I had my druthers, the Batman universe would be entirely separated from the DC superhero universe(s). Its notable that two of the stand-out titles from the late c.20 -- The Animated Series and Miller's The Dark Knight -- are very light on superpowers.

zoneofcontrol22 Mar 2016 4:51 p.m. PST

I can't wait to miss it.

Howler22 Mar 2016 8:59 p.m. PST

I can't wait to see it!

Guess I'm in the minority here, but I think it looks pretty good.

Then again… the previews are always the best 2 minutes of the movie.

All the negative reviews and Zack Snyder hate actually made me want to see it all the more. Anyway, here goes: link

Well. I liked it – dream sequences and all !

Wasn't sure why Lex Luthor was acting like the Joker's understudy. And why no-one said "do you think he could possibly be a bad guy….he really reminds me of the Joker?".

Wasn't sure who moved Gotham next to Metropolis. But…ok.

However, although the whole premise of the film is a bit daft and could have been sorted out with a chat over a coffee, I did like it. A lot.

Muerto03 Apr 2016 12:05 p.m. PST

Batman and Superman are manipulated into fighting each other on their first meeting. There's utterly nothing wrong with that premise.

I thought it was a good film with a few minor problems – none that more heavy-handed editing wouldn't have fixed – and one really big problem: stultified nerd-ragers have somehow gotten jobs as professional critics. I found none of their myriad whining complaints to be accurate.

One issue I have is that the baddie-who-I-won't-name would make an excellent giant troll for gaming, but I can't find any news of an action figure.

the baddie-who-I-won't-name

You could use a troll from Peter Jackson's LOTR films as a proxy.

Batman and Superman are manipulated into fighting each other on their first meeting.

I do get that, but still think thirty minutes with tea and biscuits and maybe a short power point presentation would have also resolved their issues. But it was fun.
