I was in Walmart Friday and found a bucket of terrain opportunity.

Ran out of glue and static grass so the rest will have to wait til next weekend to finish.

Gate, Fenceline, Statues, and a hill done.

Yes, they look good once you've painted them.

Holy poop! That is reproductive acting awesome!

I made a bunch of print-and-build cardstock ladders, a portal, and a well so far this weekend.

Looking at the arch I now feel the tentacles should be picked out in red. Very occult like

Very imaginative. Wargamers love a good find like that.

Any idea what the playset was called?

Dropzonetoe Fezian21 Mar 2016 2:35 a.m. PST

It is labeled "Sparkle Dream Land 70pcs" It is one of the buckets of plastic toys(army-men, zombies, dinosaurs) the local Walmart has been selling, this one is the girl's set. It cost around $9.50 USD and the plastic lid not shown in my picture is molded to be a watering hole/pool thing.

Impressive, but I feel the ten bucks could have been better spent on nicer terrain. As it stands, you've got a weird gate and a few statues…

Dropzonetoe Fezian21 Mar 2016 12:29 p.m. PST

Fair enough, but, I got a fence line, gate, statues, and small hill done. I have the castle, and pond I am still working on. In addition I have unicorns and a couple of dragons I am not sure of what I am going to do with. A fancy gate from reaper will cost you about 10 alone.

Lastly I play maybe two games a year. I enjoy the challenge of terrain making from strange sources. I don't even have the frostgrave rules tbh. Just felt inspired to see what I could make.
Cheers

I was just last night lamenting not having picked up this set purely for the wings. (I grabbed up the pirate set instead.)

Dropzonetoe Fezian22 Mar 2016 10:55 a.m. PST

If your interested in just the wings email me at dropzonetoe @gmail.com your address and I will send you mine I will not use them.

Dropzonetoe: I'm with you, repurposing bits and chunks of interesting junk, err, "found free-range" treasures, that is.
Which is much to the chagrin and despair of my long-suffering eife and fellow-gamer, Mrs.Carp.
