It looks like a piece of 12 inch pipe

Not just a pipe, but a sci-fi pipe. Makes all the difference. ;-)

While I adore PP figures, these are my least liked.

Sonic Disruptor? BIG grenade?

We need to know!

Some kind of sonic weapon seems the most plausible for such a wide bore.

Nice picture. They are armed with some sort of future weapon. The major design thinking was that barrel length would be of no importance whatsoever in future years, because barrel length is mechanically linked to "ancient" ideas such as rifling, accuracy, charge power and impressiveness. Weapons of the future will probably(ha?) be more linked to energy, discretion and guidance systems. A lot of sci fi figures are technologically very close to present day technology rather than a shot in the dark (pun) guesss of where it is all going.
So i would imagine these weapons launching ammunition in discretionary )ie responsive and able to choose targets)energy parts rather than sabot ammunition. The awesomeness would be dependent on the energy available.

Picture the scene in 1950, "Soon I will be able to get 1000 LP records on this small hand held device" "Aw, come on!"

This range was made about 30 years ago, long before many sci-fi lines existed. There are some more sci-fi things coming out this year from PP though.

Nice to see these chaps again. The creatures are "phugs". There was a resin drop ship too.

Loved the resin drop ship. Shame to see it go……………

I remember these guys. Nice to hear more SF will be coming out.

I always figured it was some sort of beam gun thingie, where the barrel length somehow doesn't matter.

Maybe the actual gun is a tiny little thing, but it has a big old cooling jacket applied to it.

So a MiB "Tiny Cricket" with cooling/recoil jacket?

Weasel20 Mar 2016 4:17 p.m. PST

Yeah, without knocking the guy back 3" on the tabletop :-)
