Whether you're Irish or not or whether you have any family traditions today or whether its just another day I'd like to to say to all:

Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh!

(Hope that's the blessing one and not the curse ;)

Coyotepunc and Hatshepsuut17 Mar 2016 7:34 a.m. PST

And right back at you!

This is a special day for Catholics, like us.

And doubly so for Irish, like me.

Guiness for everyone!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Yes, it's a grand day. It always makes me want to break into the fine verses:

"Oh! St. Patrick was a gentleman,
Who came of dacint people…"

It's about time I reread his Lorica as well.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

"To be Irish is to know that in the end, the world will break your heart."

I will be having a glass of Scotch to celebrate, I don't have any Irish whisky.

May those who love us love us.
And those that don't love us,
May God turn their hearts.
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,
May he turn their ankles,
So we'll know them by their limping.

May the roof above you never fall in and those gathered beneath it never fall out.

Despite it being the day of my Mother's funeral, I wish all Irish a good and happy St Patrick's day

Supercilius Maximus19 Mar 2016 2:36 a.m. PST

This is a special day for Catholics, like us.

The day is celebrated by all Irish, Protestant or Catholic. In fact, in colonial America, the day was very much a Protestant feast as us nasty Catholics weren't very popular.

I'm an Indian. I celebrate it because it is my birthday. And no, I don't wear green.
