Thanks, those are some big ladies. |

They are indeed and a good addition to the Aeronef line. I'm pleased that I was a factor in getting most of these ships made. I'm looking forward to get these ships in my hands and add them to my collection. |

I am having a big love/hate feeling about the ship on the left. Love the hull design. Hate the four big tires with the single barrel main armament. How long are these? I understand they are for a new game system competing with Aeronef. Are the ships ccompatible with the older Aeronef models? |

I'm guessing the grids in the pics above are 2" squares, on the Brigade blog there are photos on what would appear to be a centimetre grid and the bigger ships are maybe 10cm long. AFAIK they're meant to fit into the existing Aeronef line, although maybe a later evolution, per the Imperial Skies setting. While the rules are competing, I don't believe the models are. And even then, IS seems to just be a more detailed system than Aeronef, DBA vs. WRG. |

Allen57 I think that boy wundyr x has it pretty right. These new ships are made for the current Aeronef Fleets. As for the rules Imperial Skies which I'm looking forward to getting a copy from what I know it does has improvements over the Aeronef rules which is good but I still like the Aeronef rules. |

Captain G, What is improved in the Imperial Skies rules? I am a really old gamer. I have seen things go from simple to super complex and now somewhat back to simpler rules. I like Aeronef and might buy Imperial Skies. But if Imperial Skies is more complicated it wont be for me. Another factor of personal concern is whether the rules place more emphasis on carriers and aircraft. Long ago I rejected the idea of adding that aspect into my games and I will stand by it. |

Allen57 I don't know everything about the Imperial Skies rules but some of the things I like are Squadron Movement and Squadron fire these 2 things are nice because you can now move several ships all together and also combine fire for several ships at the same time. So I think from what I've heard and seen won't replace Aeronef but it's a good companion for Aeronef. As for Carriers I don't know that much about the Carrier part but it does make Carriers more interesting than they were in Aeronef but I cannot say whether it more emphasis on Carriers or not. But I think that if you don't want to use Carriers in your games you don't have to. Like I said I don't know a whole lot about Imperial Skies but more or less that's what I know sorta. |

Imperial Skies appears to use a different activation system, plus less angular turns, with smooth curved turn rulers in place of flat 60° turns. Carriers appear to have been refined, whilst a system for squadron moves and screening has been added. Torpedoes seem to be persistent objects rather than abstracted, as fighters are apparently capable of tipping them/shooting them down like V1s. Gunnery is also more complex, as there are three gun types and separate range bands. |
