And, please. If you are too sophisticated to watch zombie shows on TV, please stay away. If you don't watch the show, your opinion doesn't count. |

I can see the eventual story arc sliding into them becoming the very people they've been fighting against in past seasons, and then be similarly wiped out by another group of survivors (thereby kicking off a spin-off series.) |

I am a little surprised by the cold blooded acts, but I think Rick and the group have seen so much that they have become numb to the violence. They do what they feel they need to. |
JeffGrein | 14 Mar 2016 3:39 p.m. PST |
This show has always been about humanity and where the line is blurred when survival is thrown into the mix. Zombies are just a speed bump. When will Rick and his crew become "The Walking Dead" themselves. The people that while still alive have become nothing better than the zombies that they kill. PS: I love the show. |
Phillius | 14 Mar 2016 3:55 p.m. PST |
Best show on TV by far, but I get where Winston is coming from. I find the current story line a bit of a struggle. Rick would never have been convinced to go on the attack as easily a couple of series ago. But I will keep watching. |
pzivh43 | 14 Mar 2016 4:07 p.m. PST |
I get Rick. His inner angst has finally been beaten into submission. After losing his wife and best friend, losing his almost next wife, almost losing his son (twice), he's out to survive with those he can trust. And they are good people trying to do the right thing but survive---which is the difference between them and the other groups. |

Certain members of the group are showing signs of cracking; such as the cookie lady. |

They've gone about as far across that line as they're going to, I think. They'll pull back …they have to. Of course, they still need to wrap things up with Negan and the Saviors first. |

Wow, your insightful comment REALLY moved the conversation along! And yes, the change in our protagonists bugs me a bit. |

Yes, whatever line was left to cross, they leapt over it. However I'm still engaged by the remarkable depth of Carol. Her portrayal in the last episode is just amazing. She quite possibly is the best in television right now. I'm still hooked, though the spin-off is garbage IMHO. |
War Monkey | 14 Mar 2016 9:06 p.m. PST |
Rick and the Gang haven't crossed all the lines yet. Sure they had to kill people for survival in the past, this time it was a whole group that seemed to have be taking from other groups and allowing them to survive and live on, so long as they continue to give up half of everything to foraged for and give nothing back in return, I'm with Rick they got to go! The line Rick and all haven't crossed yet is they haven't to eat what they kill |

John… you really didn't think they are the bad guys! (smile) The Saviors murder teen boys to show in advance that they are the "boss"… they decided when and where other comunnities has to murder they own people… even if the trade with them was fulfilled… they torture… rape… etc at will!… Rick has all the advantage in Jesus place and they only try to reach an agreement without violence… I'm not sure about Negan… seems all the Saviors are Negan (?)… the other question is how many they are… in the attack to their nest I counted 21 casualties, plus 8-9 more in the last chapter… if you take note the "riders" (T-Team)you have another 15 more… About the craking of the characters… yes, they began to crack down and this is good… normal… you cannot kill all time without any consequence… maybe is time to other members to take the first line… The acting of Carol last chapter was superb!!. Question: What would happened with the black guy (Rick first friend) and his Zen philosophy? Amicalement Armand |

Tango01, Yes---what is going to happen with Morgan. Does he stay or go?? |
MiniatureWargaming dot com | 15 Mar 2016 6:54 a.m. PST |
Remember that the show is following a story arc from the comics, which are way ahead of the show in the timeline. |
Tango01 | 15 Mar 2016 10:14 a.m. PST |
Sadly… Morgan have to change… or he has not a place in Alexandria… Amicalement Armand |

The Saviors murder Well, we can't mix anything from the comics in with the show. On the show, one group of the Saviors looked like they were going to kill Sasha, then they got jacked up. Then Rick's group hunted down and murdered lots of them in their beds. I think the exchange this week with the woman interrogating Maggie was telling – "You're not the good guys." Now, I'll assume that the Saviors will be shown to be utterly terrible people that must be exterminated, just to justify how far gone Rick and co. really are, but just go back and watch season 1 and the first half of season 2. You couldn't imagine Rick and Glenn murdering people in cold blood. |
darthfozzywig | 15 Mar 2016 12:11 p.m. PST |
Oh, and my vote is that Carol gets killed at the mid-season finale. Change of heart and/or more screen time = prepare to die. |
BuckeyeBob | 15 Mar 2016 3:43 p.m. PST |
No, I'm not uneasy with the "new" trend. Unlike the saviors who take and give nothing back, Rick and the group will trade for food (Alexandria community is starving)…they are giving back the Hill group's freedom from being oppressed by the saviors for food. Tho going from killing the undead to the living is not easy for them, they have already encountered this savior group and know that there is no reasoning with them (the fuel truck incident where that group leader was about to kill sasha and abraham). Sneaking into the compound to kill sleeping members of the enemy is much different than reacting in defense to those shooting at you or trying to gut and dress you for that evening's meal, as evidenced by Glenn's reaction at the compound. The group will get through all this with minimal effect on their psyche. My prediction of season finale: Since Rick can't seem to keep a wife/girlfriend alive, Michonne is in danger, tho I would rather see Morgan, Gabriel and Sasha go. More likely Rosita and tara will be casualties. Oh, and Carl will be subject to yet again another gunshot wound (I figure by series end, he'll look like swiss cheese.) |
darthfozzywig | 15 Mar 2016 6:15 p.m. PST |
The group will get through all this with minimal effect on their psyche. Which would be bad for any number of reasons. |
Howler | 15 Mar 2016 8:27 p.m. PST |
I got a kick out of Darryl's line, "wonder which one was negan?" |
Tango01 | 15 Mar 2016 9:52 p.m. PST |
Anyone think that maybe… Jesus is Negan? Amicalement Armand |
Darkoath | 16 Mar 2016 11:01 a.m. PST |
They are just evolving and are able to more easily make hard decisions in order for the group to survive. Rick's group already knew that this new group they are going up against are not good and prey on other groups. They are at war… Morgan however is becoming dangerous to his own group… he needs to change his thinking or go off on his own again. |
HammerHead | 16 Mar 2016 2:40 p.m. PST |
Tango01 yes, seems more than a casual character. I hope and hope Carol gets killed ..I really do |

> That our beloved family is turning into murderers? Nope. Not exactly a family, but see The Hunters story arc in the comics. |
Inkpaduta | 27 Mar 2016 11:37 a.m. PST |
Jesus is not Negan. They are two different characters in the comics. Plus, an actor has already been cast to play Negan and it is not Jesus. I don't think they are getting worse. They are low on food and find out that another village is being forced to give supplies to the Saviors. Rick was right, sooner or later they would come for Alexandria. Plus, they had already tangled with the Saviors. |
