Hi Guys I was wondering if anyone knows the correct arms for this chap,the French commander who died at Cerignola in 1503. From having a look around the net I think this is them link but I am not sure? |

Thanks Lluis. It's possible those are correct, but this is the problem with finding these arms – the ones above seem to be for Charles III of Navarre at the start of the 15th century- I am pretty sure the interlinking chains are the Navarre part. I'm not sure Louis d'Armagnac would carry these in 1503? |

Mmmm, I understand what you mean. After some search I've found the arms of Jacques d'Armagnac, Duke of Nemours, Count of Pardiac and Louis' father:
This can be read as 1st and 4th Bourbon-La Marche, and 2nd and 3rd Armagnac. Another image here below:

So it's the Bourbon arms quatered with the Armagnac arms, yes that seems more likely, thanks Lluis, I will go with this. And cheers for the links as well the French Heraldry on Pinterest looks useful |
