Hi Guys

I was wondering if anyone knows the correct arms for this chap, the French commander who died at Cerignola in 1503.

From having a look around the net I think this is them

The arms you show are good for a Count of Armagnac, but I guess that the ones you're seeking are those of the guy as Duke of Nemours. According to this website (www.wikiwand.com/fr/Armorial_des_Pairies_de_France_sous_l'Ancien_R%C3%A9gime), such arms would be in 1404 like this:

Thanks Lluis.

It's possible those are correct, but this is the problem with finding these arms – the ones above seem to be for Charles III of Navarre at the start of the 15th century- I am pretty sure the interlinking chains are the Navarre part.

I'm not sure Louis d'Armagnac would carry these in 1503?

Mmmm, I understand what you mean.

After some search I've found the arms of Jacques d'Armagnac, Duke of Nemours, Count of Pardiac and Louis' father:

This can be read as 1st and 4th Bourbon-La Marche, and 2nd and 3rd Armagnac. Another image here below:

So it's the Bourbon arms quatered with the Armagnac arms, yes that seems more likely, thanks Lluis, I will go with this.

And cheers for the links as well the French Heraldry on Pinterest looks useful
