Well I have been working on a revision for the 1986 World War Two combat rules. The 'Fire! Ogon! Fruer! rules were a detailed set of rules with many optional rules which could slow play but would make them very realistic. Back then we used mainly 1/285 scale vehicles but later we used both 10mm and 15mm vehicles.

The system worked for all the scales. Now in the twilight of my gaming life, I have decided to revise several sets of my rules for use by gamers. These can be used as a framework for your project or played as a complete set. The other eras will be available over the rest of the year.

With F-O-F, with will try a new format. There will be three separate 'books' in the rule set. They will all use the same vehicle reference sheets and scenario creation system.

The first book will be a fast play basic system. The second book will be a realistic 'advanced' system which will be slow and realistic. The third book will be a basic system with rule mechanics for play on a grid map system.
I am too old to worry about making much money, so these will not go to the expensive publishing process.

Players who may be interested in a revised set of Fire! Ogon! Freuer! can send me a request at scottnelson@bellsouth.net or see me at a convention. My next show will be in Orlando at RECON which is my deadline for completing another system which should be the Fire and Discipline (1700-1800s. I will send the files out when I finish typing the grid system.

I will keep the emails and use them to piggyback the files. It looks like the three book set will run between 45 and 40 pages.
Thanks for the interest.

I am real excited at how well the new rule mechanics worked. We have a new turn sequence for the advanced system. It meshes well. We also changed the aircraft sortie and anti-aircraft response rules. These play faster and does not dominate ground operations.
Artillery also had some major revisions especially in the combat results area.
Great play test night.

Hey Marc, if you read this can you send me an email? I have some questions about the hull size of your 10mm tank collection. Thanks, Rudy
