I have chariots that are too long to fit on a 40x20 base like the infantry. If I put them on 40x40 bases, what is the consequence? They aren't monsterous so I assume I don't have to pay more for having then in larger bases. But large bases count as 2 small bases so it occurs to me that larger bases are generally disadvantaged over small bases. The rules aren't very clear in explaining any of this. Any thoughts? Thanks!!!

I don't have the rules handy, but I seem to recall chariots are Monstrous by default. If not though, you can just use the larger bases and only count them as one. I use 50x25 and 50x50, but one figure/scene is on 50x80 (albeit also Monstrous) because there was no way I could fit it on 50x50.

I only play the original Mongoose Publishing Fantasy version of Mighty Armies, so I don't know if this applies to what your playing or not.
But chariots are put on the larger base. I don't think any of them count as the Monstrous special, but they do use the other rules that apply to large based models.
