Henry Tizzard, creator of radar
John Moses Browning, for the M1919 Only two fellows I feel missing are;
If there is one engineer in particualr at Rolls Royce responsible for the meteor design.

The RAF bloke who figured out that modern monowing fighters should be armed with twelve rifle caliber machine guns.

I live about a mile from the location of the Spitfire's maiden flight. We've had a couple of anniversary flights over the weekend. Legendary, iconic aircraft with a fantastic engine sound. |

I hate Spitfires. They keep outmaneuvering my Bf-109s and shooting down my pilots in our CY6 campaign… :-)
