I feel the same way about; Sydney Camm, the creator of the Hurricane Henry Tizzard, creator of radar John Moses Browning, for the M1919 Only two fellows I feel missing are; If there is one engineer in particualr at Rolls Royce responsible for the meteor design. and The RAF bloke who figured out that modern monowing fighters should be armed with twelve rifle caliber machine guns. ,,,and the bit of a miraculous circumstances that combined all these things so as to save western society,,,

I live about a mile from the location of the Spitfire's maiden flight. We've had a couple of anniversary flights over the weekend. Legendary, iconic aircraft with a fantastic engine sound. |
