Hi all, I add some photos about my last work. They are a cuple of french ship of the line. The first is a 120 guns and the second is a spanish ship but converted as a frenchs ship of 112 guns.
I hope you like them,
Best regards,
Julián

Delightful. Such a realistic looking ocean. Truly works of art.

You said one is a Spanish navio and the other is French, but both are flagged French? Beautiful work as always Julian.

Yes Vol. The smollest is a 112 spanis hull of langton but my client wanted as a french ship of the line. I dont know why langton miniatures only have one model of hull for a three deck.

Beautiful work Julian! Superbly painted as always, and very powerful looking. I love the tri-color on the stern of the one ship.

Last week just finished The Post Captain, getting interested back into sailing warfare.
Beautiful models you have there

18th Century Guy,
Why the Spanish ship as a French man?

Hi Rory, as I am who advised this idea, I'll be the answer.

My client wanted two French ships of three decks. But Langton miniatures has only one model of three decks (one with portholes closed and the same model with open portholes). I can not understand why Langton miniatures doesn't have in their catalog ships of 90 and 100 guns. The only option I could think of and under the historical pretext that France and Spain were allied in a period of time because I chose a Spanish ship of 110 guns to represent a French ship of 110 guns. I know it's not right but it is not a wrong choice.

Best regards,
Julián

No it's not wrong, If you and !8th Century Guy are happy with it. That is all that matters. It is a nice painted and rigged ship to see on a table. That is NOT wrong.
Be safe
Rory

Not 100% historical … but to play works well.

I'm happy with it! I think it looks great and really this is all about gaming and enjoying the game. These are really beautiful ships and I plan on having some great games with them.
Now on to getting British, Russian, and Swedish fleets!

Luckily, 18th Cent guy, I know someone who has Langtons in all of those nationalities…

Mithlond14 Mar 2016 7:57 a.m. PST

Wonderful!

SgtPrylo14 Mar 2016 12:54 p.m. PST

OMG Julian, stop. Just stop. Islands, ships, it goes on and on. Feelings of inadequacy reaching critical mass!

Beautiful as always!

Staggering work. I've been completing my Langdon's in 4 hours. How long did these take you?
