Basing two to a base (1" x 3/4"), have well over a thousand of the little guys and have no idea as yet how I will store them. Normal foam trays are out (too many stands for that), maybe magnetic sheeting at the bottom of a box. How do you store all your armor at this scale? |

Buy some cabinets. If for thousands, buy lots of cabinets. I can get about 9000 28mm figs into these large cabinets (IKEA,
About 4000+ into these CD cabinets (ARGOS),
and countless 15mm into these three wide wooden drawer file boxes (IKEA) and cabinet (£2 auction rooms).
You never regret an investment in wargame furniture in the long run. |

I base all my collections on steel and store in magnet lined boxes. In a 12x18 box with 2 layers you could fit your entire collection in just two boxes. Total space occupied; 12 x 18 x 4 inches. |

I made custom storage trays out of old Zvezda vehicle boxes each designed to take a full regiment. I then stack them three deep in slimline A4 boxfiles with bubble wrap inside the top. Job done. |

My 1/600 is based on 1.5" squares in 3's. Believe it or not, I store them in zip lock bags in a box. Picoarmor is made from pretty hard metal and I have not lost any gun barrels plus I sealed them really well when I painted them. |

In a ziplock bag, in the original bags they came in, thus far. |

Great suggestions guys, thank you. Magnetic paint had never even crossed my mind until now. Olicana, you have a great set up there! Unfortunately I don't have the room for such a luxury as yet. Having trouble just fitting another bookcase in my office. |
