David Pentland is am an artist who, for the last 20 years, has specialized in painting various military subjects. In April 1916 the first tanks appeared on the western front, and to mark this centenary he has been working on a book tracing the history of this unique vehicle through his paintings and drawings. He has structured the book to cover early design concepts, and the developments through the two world wars and the postwar era. Each image describes a specific battle or engagement, and has been thoroughly researched to be as accurate as possible. Unfortunately not all tank types could be included due to sheer numbers, but I have selected those were feel important examples of the vehicle. Further details can be found here… link |

Wow, great art ! I tried to subscribe, but for some unimaginable reason the kickstarter demands an additional $26.00 USD for shipping a single book to the USA. Stopped me cold. |

I'm in too, picking up a print and postcards as well. Shipping stinks all over right now, sometimes I just have to eat it. |

CL, that's what it costs to ship over the Atlantic these days. Cheap options have been eliminated. |

It isn't going to be a small book so postage costs sound reasonable. |

I've asked for a list of what's in the book or a table of contents, hopefully that helps get a few more people in. |
